Blushwood berries are the fruit of the blushwood tree, which is known to grow in only one region of the world: the rainforests of Far North Queensland, Australia. The Blushwood tree is only found on the Atherton Tablelands in Queensland's tropical far north. It produces a dark yellow berry with powerful seeds inside. The fruit has been used to develop an experimental drug that QIMR Berghofer scientist Dr Glen Boyle has been investigating.
