  • The cause can be eating processed, un-natural foods such as grains, cereals and cows milk products and the mineral/nutrient deficiency that comes from eating such un-natural stuff.
  • High saturated fat content. Because a diet high in animal proteins, cheese, and milk causes abnormal development of the sebaceous glands, leading to acne.
  • Problem with elimination. This includes a sluggish bowl and skin function, a toxic liver, or overstressed kidneys. (See : detox).
  • Dietary deficiencies such as low Vitamin B6, Zinc and Essential Fatty Acids.
  • Stress

Home remedies

  • Eat a truly nutritious diet. That means toss out all the processed foods. Eat a diet consisting of 80% fresh, raw, organic produce - more vegetables than fruit. Do not eat anything with artificial flavors, colors, preservatives, MSG, trans fats, or GMOs. Make sure your meat is organic. Avoid all allergens (any food you know causes a sensitivity). Stop eating sugar! It feeds bacteria and yeast. Add healthy probiotics to your diet. Omega 3 fatty acids are essential. Add flax seed oil, fish oil, krill oil, or an Omega 3 oil blend to your daily diet. Learn more about a healthy diet. Cut out wheat gluten, processed grains.
  • Get your gut healthy. If the ratio of good bacteria to bad bacteria and yeast in your gut is not optimum, your entire system is constantly dealing with an onslaught of toxins produced by bad bacteria and yeast. (see also : Candidiasis.
  • Stop using conventional soaps and shampoos. Use only organic products on your skin and scalp. If you are using ANY antibacterial soaps, you are killing off the good bacteria that helps keep the bad bacteria in check.

  • Omega-3 fatty acids, which are found in fish, flaxseed, hemp seed, chia seed, grass-fed beef, nuts, and raw grass-fed butter, are also beneficial due to their anti-inflammatory nature.
