• Green Tea : The natural polyphenol in green tea known as ECGC has been shown to be particularly effective in lowering risk of a host of cancer cell lines including prostate, colon, esophagus, bladder and pancreas.
• Red Cabbage : A study on red cabbage shows that its glucosinolate compound can prevent a variety of cancers including Prostate Cancer, Colon Cancer, Breast Cancer and Bladder Cancer. It also contains omega-3 fatty acids, folate, manganese, dietary fiber and magnesium – all of which are strong cancer-fighting nutrients.
• Increased intake of selenium through natural methods may reduce the risk of bladder cancer according to recent studies.
• frankincense might provide benefit against Bladder Cancer by killing cancer cells, while not affecting normal cells.
• Cruciferous Vegetables : Allyl isothiocyanate (AITC) has been found to be particularly effective against bladder cancer. This colorless oil is responsible for the pungent taste of mustard, Horseradish and Wasabi.
• HAMLET ( "Human Alpha-lactalbumin Made LEthal to Tumor cells" ) component of breast milk have revealed that it can effectively treat male bladder cancer.
• European Mistletoe : Some evidence suggests that administering a specific European mistletoe extract placed into the bladder for 6 weeks might reduce bladder cancer recurrence rates in certain patients.
• Mustard seeds (like other members of Brassica) have been found to contain isothiocyanates which have been demonstrated to suppress and prevent the growth of cancerous tumors. A 2010 study published in the journal Carcinogenesis demonstrated that when this compound is delivered in a specialized manner had the ability to inhibit the growth of cancer in the bladder.
• White Sandalwood and Frankincense : A recent paper published in the journal Chinese Medicine identified sandalwood’s anti-cancer potential alongside that of a related oil, frankincense. Operating in coordinated but distinct ways, these two precious oils were observed to both promote cancer cell death and inhibit cancer cell potency. The latter effect is where sandalwood oil really got to show off its power, halting the viability of two particular cells implicated in human bladder cancers: J82 and UROtsa. Like frankincense oil, sandalwood was shown to activate certain signaling pathways in order to fight against these cells, but its mode of achieving this was found to be distinct from its partnered oil.
• Ukrain is a drug based on the extract of the plant Chelidonium majus L (greater chelandine). It is claimed to be effective against a range of cancers.
