Special Precautions of Dan Nan Xing

  • Avoid during pregnancy.
  • Use with caution for those who have a dry cough due to Liver Wind Rising from Excess Fire or Blood Deficiency.
  • Use with extreme caution during pregnancy.
  • Allergic reaction may occur when Dan Nan Xing comes in contact with the skin.

Benefits and uses of Dan Nan Xing are

  • Transforms phlegm heat, extinguishes wind, stops convulsions - muscle spasms/cramps, infantile convulsions, seizure disorders, facial paralysis, stroke (CVA) from wind and phlegm obstruction.

Zhi (or Tian) Nan Xing is prepared with fresh ginger and Dan Nan Xing is prepared with cow bile.

  • Clears Heat, dissolves Phlegm, calms Wind and stops convulsions
  • Muscle spasms and cramps, infantile convulsions, seizures, facial paralysis, tetanus and stroke
