Special Precautions of E Zhu

  • Contraindicated in pregnancy.
  • Contraindicated in all cases of early menstruation.
  • Contraindicated in all cases of Blood Heat.
  • Contraindicated for those with menorrhagia.
  • Contraindicated for those with Deficiency.
  • Do not use unless there is firm, stubborn accumulation.
  • Caution with Qi and Blood Deficiency.
  • Use with caution for patients taking anticoagulants such as heparin, warfarin (Coumadin) and enoxaparin (Lovenox) or antiplatelet drugs such as aspirin, dipyridamole (Persantine) and clopidogrel (Plavix) as concurrent use may have an additive or synergistic effect.
