Special Precautions of E Zhu

Contraindicated in pregnancy.
Contraindicated in all cases of early menstruation.
Contraindicated in all cases of Blood Heat.
Contraindicated for those with menorrhagia.
Contraindicated for those with Deficiency.
Do not use unless there is firm, stubborn accumulation.
Caution with Qi and Blood Deficiency.
Use with caution for patients taking anticoagulants such as heparin, warfarin (Coumadin) and enoxaparin (Lovenox) or antiplatelet drugs such as aspirin, dipyridamole (Persantine) and clopidogrel (Plavix) as concurrent use may have an additive or synergistic effect.

In present day it is used for cancer of the neck of uterus, leukemia, liver cancer, enlargement of liver and spleen. In China, 80 cases of cervical cancer patients were treated with a solution of Zedoania, which was injected directly into the tumor sites. 30 patients were completely cured, while 15 were found to have a 50% size reduction
