Lingonberry is a plant. The leaves and berries are used to make medicine.

Special Precautions of Lingonberry

• It is UNSAFE to use alpine cranberry leaves long-term. The leaves contain a poisonous chemical. There isn't enough information to know if alpine cranberry is safe for short-term use. It can cause some side effects including nausea and vomiting.
• There is a concern that the chemicals in alpine cranberry that can kill bacteria in the urine can also cause liver damage and cancer.
• Children: alpine cranberry is UNSAFE for children because it might damage the liver.
• Pregnancy and breast-feeding: It’s UNSAFE to use alpine cranberry if you are pregnant. It contains chemicals that might cause genetic changes and harm to the fetus.
