Other Names : Brachyleana hutchinsi, African Sandalwood, Muhuqwe
The Muhuhu Tree grows in Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda and is harvested primarily for wood carvings, furniture and construction because of its durability and natural colored marble grain design when polished. High quality Muhuhu essential oil is rare because Brachyleana hutchinsii trees are becoming fewer every year with harvest primarily for furniture and crafts coupled with few skilled distillers producing essential oil.

Special Precautions of Muhuhu

  • Safe when properly diluted and used at 2% or less in non-sensitized individuals.
  • Use in moderation as sensitivities have been reported with excess use when applied the skin or mucous membranes.
