* Ingesting : The biggest risk comes when patchouli essential oil is ingested. It is considered a poison, so you should call the poison control center and seek medical attention immediately if it swallowed. Never induce vomiting because the oil may enter the lungs and cause a more dangerous health risk. The biggest danger of ingestion is with children. This oil has a sweet aroma that young kids may find appealing, so it’s not unheard of for kids to lick oil burners or drink from oil bottles. Keep your oils as well as all diffusers, burners, and additional supplies in places that your children cannot reach.
