*Unrefined coconut oil is one of the best dandruff treatments available. By warming it up and massaging it gently into the scalp, it will help to reduce itchiness and normalise the scalp. This is best left on the scalp for a few hours at a time before washing it off.
*Jojoba oil is also an excellent treatment for dandruff as it helps to moisturize and nourish the hair and scalp. Because it is a natural moisturising agent, there will not be any oily build up on the hair after using it.
* Coconut Oil. When coconut is considered to be the tree of life with the many benefits every part of it can give us, coconut oil is also widely known to treat dandruff. Warm 3 grams of black pepper with 300 grams of coconut oil. Wait until it boils and stops heating, filter it with a cloth and set aside in a bottle. When ready, massage it unto the scalp at night.
* apple cider vinegar : Mix a quarter cup of apple cider vinegar with a quarter cup of water. This can then be placed into a spray bottle and sprayed directly onto the hair and scalp. This solution is then left on for approximately 15 minutes while the hair is wrapped in a towel. Once the towel is removed, the hair can then be washed normally. This treatment can be done once or twice each week.
* Apple Juice. Another natural home remedy for dandruff is by using apple juice. Mixing 2 tablespoons of fresh apple juice to warm water with the same amount, applying it to the hair, rubbing and leaving it for 10 to 15 minutes and then rinsing it will get rid of dandruff especially if this process is repeated for 2-3 weeks.
* Beetroot Juice. Some other juices that can be used as a natural remedy for dandruff include the beetroot juice. Mix beetroot juice with vinegar and then apply it on the scalp. At the same time, mixing beetroot juice with ginger juice can also prove beneficial to the scalp.
* Organic Virgin Olive Oil is also proven to be beneficial to combat dandruff. A multi-purpose natural oil packed with unlimited amount of benefits, olive oil is also known to be of use against dandruff problems. It helps nourish the scalp and remove dandruff flakes in the scalp. Not just these, it also provides the scalp with a lot more nutrients like Vitamins A, E, K, and it moisturizes, and even provides anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidant benefits. Just get an organic virgin olive oil, heat up 3 ounces until it’s a bit warm and apply it on the scalp. Leave it for around 30 minutes, wash it with shampoo and it’s done!
* Fenugreek Seeds. Fenugreek seeds are also helpful in the treatment of dandruff. For a night, soak two tablespoons of fenugreek seeds in water then grind the softened seeds in the morning. Apply the product on the scalp and leave for about 30 minutes, and then wash your hair with shikakai or ritha solution.
* Lemon. The use of lemon, not only for eating, spicing up foods and making lemonade juices, can also range up to treating dandruff. A bit of lemon juice onto the scalp will make your scalp free from further dandruff problems with its antibacterial and cleansing properties. Just squeeze a lemon into a glass of warm water, use the lemon peels first and massage onto the scalp for 2 minutes. Then repeat the massage with 2 tablespoons of lemon juice. Dilute the remaining lemon juice into a 1:10 ratio and rinse your hair with it. Repeat once a week to keep dandruff away.
* Ginger is also a good treatment for dandruff. Jus combine ginger root with olive oil and apply to your scalp before shampooing. Applying the mixture 10-15 minutes before shampooing is recommended for serious dandruff cases.
