* Country mallow is UNSAFE for any use. Country mallow contains ephedrine. Country mallow is banned in the US due to safety concerns. Another herb that contains ephedrine called ephedra is linked to high blood pressure, heart attacks, muscle disorders, seizures, strokes, irregular heartbeat, loss of consciousness, and death. Country mallow might also cause these side effects.
