Health Benefits and Uses of English Adder’s tongue

  • The fern is antiseptic, styptic, vulnerary, detergent, emetic and expectorant
  • The mucilaginous and astringent decoction of the fern is used for angina in Reunion.
  • An ointment, prepared by boiling the herb in oil or fat, is used for wounds and skin ulkers
  • The expressed juice of the leaves is drunk as a treatment for internal bleeding and bruising.
  • as an expectorant.

Dosage

Mix one teaspoon of leaves with one cup of boiling water. Consume only one mouthful a time, several times a day.
