* Combats Diabetes : Ku shen may be beneficial for metabolic diseases as it can activate peroxisome proliferator-activated receptors gamma and alpha (PPAR-gamma and PPAR alpha, respectively). * Enhances Liver Function : Polysaccharides in Ku shen can protect the liver from HBV and liver cancer.
