Special Precautions of Huang Qin
- Contraindicated for those with Deficiency Cold in the Middle Jiao.
- Contraindicated for those with Cold diarrhea.
- Contraindicated for those with Deficiency Heat in the Lungs.
- Use caution for those with restless fetus due to Cold.
- Use caution for those with Blood Deficiency with abdominal pain.
- Use caution for those with edema due to Spleen Deficiency.
- Use caution for those with loose stools due to Kidney Deficiency.
- Use caution for those with amenorrhea due to Blood Deficiency.
- Counteracts Cx. Moutan Mu Dan Pi.
- Counteracts Rz. & Rx. Veratri Li Lu.
- This herb may have a synergistic effect with beta-lactam antibiotics such as ampecillin, amoxicillin and cefotaxime to restore the effectiveness of these drugs against beta-lactum-resistant Staphylococces aureus and methicillin-resistant Staphylococces aureus .
