* WAN = Pill (old-style or handmade pill, or black teapill)
* TANG = Water Decoction (boiled whole herbs)
* SAN = Powder (milled or granulated)
* SHUI = Tincture (extract with alcohol or other solvent)
* GAO = Paste (topical unguent or plaster)
