a small, evergreen which grows up to 15 m tall and 10-30 cm in diameter; it is native to Myanmar, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam.

- The flowers of this plant are used for a heart tonic, reducing of fever and enhancement of appetite in Thai traditional medicine (Wuthithammawech, 1997).
- Cancer : three structurally related coumarins showed significant antiproliferative activities against human leukemia and stomach cancer cell lines.
