Sugar-apple is high in energy, an excellent source of vitamin C and manganese, a good source of thiamine and vitamin B6, and provides vitamin B2, B3 B5, B9, iron, magnesium, phosphorus and potassium in fair quantities.

  • The mashed, ripe fruit, mixed with salt, is applied on tumors.
  • Unripe fruit is also taken in for diarrhea and dysentery.
  • Decoction of unripe fruit used as wound wash.
  • Pulp juice is taken to expel intestinal worms.
  • Crushed seeds mixed with coconut oil and apply on scalp to get rid of lice.
