* Dried flowers are again used in treating bleeding hemorrhoids and dysentery with mucus, applied externally for itchiness, taken internally for nausea, erysipelas, bleeding piles, metrorrhagea, menorrhagea, excessive thirst and sweating.
* Nagkesar contains potential anticonvulsant properties and may be used in curing seizures. Other central nervous system depressant effects like loss of muscle tone, ptosis (drooping of upper eyelids), and sedation might be observed with Nagkesar.
