Panchalavana

Combinations of 5 salts :

• Saindhava Lavana (Rock salt) – Also called Sendha namak, is considered as best among all types of salts. It is recommended for regular dietary usage.
• Vida Lavana – Useful in relieving bloating and dyspepsia
• Sauvarchala Lavana – Black salt – Also called Kala Namak, useful in throat and cardiac disorders.
• Samudra Lavana (Sea salt) – produced from sea water. The seawater is canalized and Sun-dried.
• Audbhida Lavana [Romaka] – contains kshara properties.

All the above salts are taken in sharava samputa – sealed small pot and heated till the entire content turns to ash.
