Causes and Symptoms

The cause can be eating processed, un-natural foods such as grains, cereals and cows milk products and the mineral/nutrient deficiency that comes from eating such un-natural stuff.

Home remedies

  • Propolis has been reported to be effective in the treatment of Ulcers.
  • Manuka honey is recomended for Wound healing, Leg ulcers, Burns, Skin conditions (such as acne and wrinkles), Coughs.
  • Cedarwood oil : The astringent action helps to treat acne and oily skin eruptions.
  • Guggulipid (Commiphora mukul) is an herb used in Indian medicine to improve blood lipid profiles. It is closely related to the herb myrrh. Guggulipid is said to reduce acne lesions.
  • Chamomile, cat's claw and geranium extract help with inflammation and redness.
  • Echinacea, tea tree and white willow bark have antibacterial/anti-fungal properties - they have shown to be a useful remedy for acne and boils.
  • Witch hazel, citrus extracts and calendula are powerful astringents, which makes them useful in fighting acne
  • Facial masks made from seaweed extract and bentonite clay are said to calm the skin and aid healing for acne sufferers.
  • Light Therapy : Sunlight was long known to improve acne, and this was thought to be due to antibacterial and other effects of the ultraviolet spectrum which cannot be used as a long-term treatment due to the likelihood of skin damage.
  • tea tree oil can kill bacteria, applying topical (diluted) tea tree oil to acne lesions has been thought to destroy Propionibacterium acnes, the skin-dwelling bacteria that is involved in the development of acne.
