Special Precautions of Endive

  • Don't confuse with Witlof (Cichorium intybus var. foliosum)
  • Be aware of foods that are particularly high in vitamin K if you are taking prescription anticoagulants. Vitamin K is abundant in leafy greens.

Health Benefits and Uses of Endive

Endive has a relatively high content of minerals (potassium, calcium) and some vitamins, especially folic acid and vitamin A and Vitamin K. The content of dietary fiber is 15 g / kg, vitamin C is 90 mg / kg.

  • Vitamin K : In 100 grams, no less than 192% of the RDA for vitamin K.
