Natural remedies

  • Morinda Citrifolia edible leaf extract enhanced immune response against lung cancer," has found that an alcohol-based leaf extract of the noni tree (Morinda Citrifolia) was more effective than a commonly used chemotherapy drug in treating lung cancer in an animal model.
  • Juniperus Phoenicea : Both berry and leaf oil have shown strong anti-tumor properties. The berry oil works best against brain tumors and lung carcinoma, secondarily against liver carcinoma and breast carcinoma, and finally also against cervix carcinoma.
  • Pawpaw suppressed growth in cultured cells of several cancers, such as leukemia, small-cell Lung Cancer, Colon Cancer,Melanoma, Ovarian Cancer, Renal Cancer.
  • papaya leaf tea is an effective remedy for cancer. A study at the University of Florida found that papaya slowed the growth of a wide variety of tumors, including those of the breast, lung, pancreas, cervix, and liver.
  • Beta-Cryptoxanthin (in papaya, mango, peaches, oranges, tangerines, bell peppers, corn and watermelon) seems to reduce the risk of lung cancer and colon cancer.
  • beet juice is an astonishingly effective treatment for leukemia and other cancers : betanin pigments can impede tumor cell growth in tissues throughout the body, including the colon, stomach, nerves, lungs, breast, prostate, testicles.
  • Apigenin widely inhibits cell proliferation of various lung cancer cell lines in a dose-dependent manner and the combination treatment of apigenin and antitumor drugs is very effective in human lung cancer cells, and Nrf2-ARE pathway may contribute to the mechanism.”
  • Cranberries have cancer-preventive benefits especially likely in the case of breast, colon, lung, and prostate cancer.
  • recent studies seem to indicate that melatonin combined with Interleukin-2 may be more effective than chemotherapy in treating lung cancer.
  • Limonoids have shown cytotoxicity to breast cancer, colon cancer, pancreatic cancer, liver cancer, neuroblastoma, leukemia, melanoma and non-small cell lung cancer.
  • May Chang : a recent study published in PLoS One Journal suggests that vapors from Litsea Cubeba essential oil may be able to kill and arrest the growth of lung cancer cells.
  • Beta-carotene has been shown in research to protect the lungs against toxins that are linked to lung cancer.
  • Ganoderma Lucidum extract induces apoptosis in lung cancer cells.
  • Mint exhibits the capacity to protect the animals’ lungs, skin and colon against the formation of cancer.
  • A recent study has produced evidence of Milk Thistle reversing lung cancer
  • pomegranate helps in fighting breast, prostate and lung cancer.

  • Grape seed extracts may prevent the growth of breast, stomach, colon, prostate, and lung cancer cells in test tubes.
  • Vitamin D may help people with lung cancer to live longer, according to a study released in 2005.
  • Vitamin K2 may help promote the death of lung cancer cells.
  • Ginger and its constituents have been studied to inhibit Lung Cancer.
  • Acerola shows promise for protection against lung cancer.
  • Bupleurum : two studies on human cells (one published in Biochemical Pharmacology in 2006, the other published in Life Sciences in 2003) indicate that bupleurum may help destroy lung cancer cells.
  • Black Cumin : Scientists exposed lung cancer cells to black seed oil or to black seed extract for 24 hours. They used 0.01 mg/ml to 1 mg/ml of the oil or the extract in this experiment. After the exposure, the cancer cell viability was assessed.
  • Thyme : Oil from the common herb thyme was discovered to kill up to 97% of human lung cancer cells. Recent research has shown that if you mix thyme and olive oil it will enhance the availability of hydroxytyrosol, olive oil’s most potent anti-cancer compound.
  • Licorice : Glycrrhizins and flavonoids can even help prevent lung cancer cells from forming which means they can even prevent lung cancer.
  • Clitoria Ternatea : A recent study in China found butterfly pea to be very effective against certain lung cancer cell lines.
