Neuroblastoma is a cancer that forms in your nerve tissue. It usually begins in the adrenal glands, which sit atop your kidneys. It may also begin in your neck, chest or spinal cord. The cancer often begins in early childhood. Sometimes it begins before a child is born. By the time doctors find the cancer, it has usually spread to other parts of the body.

Symptoms

The most common symptoms are

  • A lump in the abdomen, neck or chest
  • Bulging eyes
  • Dark circles around the eyes
  • Bone pain
  • Swollen stomach and trouble breathing in babies
  • Painless, bluish lumps under the skin in babies
  • Inability to move a body part

Home remedies

  • Limonoids have shown cytotoxicity to breast cancer, colon cancer, pancreatic cancer, liver cancer, neuroblastoma, leukemia, melanoma and non-small cell lung cancer.
  • Phellinus Linteus : Researchers from Korea found that the anti-proliferative and apoptotic effects of mycelium extracts of Phellinus linteus on neuroblastoma were associated with a significant induction of the Bax and cyclin-dependent kinase inhibitor p21.
  • Ukrain is a drug based on the extract of the plant Chelidonium majus L (greater chelandine). It is claimed to be effective against a range of cancers. In Germany it is primarily Dr. Burkhard Aschoff, owner of the Villa Medica Clinic in Edenkoben, in the Palatinate who has been using Ukrain for many years. He also attracted a lot of attention through two cases, when he successfully treated a 10-year old girl with an Ewing sarcoma, and in 1998 when he successfully treated a 2-year old child with a neuroblastoma using hyperthermia and Ukrain.
