Ingrediënts

  • Da Ji : Hb. Siva Rx. Cirsii Japonici 9-30g Cools the Blood and stops bleeding.
  • Xiao Ji : Hb. Cirsii : 9-30g Cools the Blood and stops bleeding.
    • With Bai Mao Gen, for bleeding due to Blood Heat, especially hematuria due to Heat.
  • He Ye : Fol. Nelumbinis : 9-10g Removes Stagnation and stops bleeding.
  • Ce Bai Ye : Cacumen Platycladi : 9-30g Cools the Blood and stops bleeding.
    • With Xiao Ji, Bai Ji and Bai Mao Gen, for epistaxis with bright red Blood due to Heat forcing the Blood upward and hematemesis caused by Heat in the Bladder.
  • Bai Mao Gen : Rz. Imperatae :9-30g Cools the Blood, stops bleeding, clears Heat and promotes urination.
    • With Ge Gen, for warm febrile disease with nausea and vomiting.
  • Qian Cao Gen : Rx. Rubiae : 9-15g Cools the Blood, stops bleeding, invigorates the Blood and dispels Blood Stasis.
  • Zhi Zi : Fr. Gardeniae : 9-12g Clears Heat, reduces Fire, eliminates irritability, drains Damp-Heat, cools the Blood, relieves toxicity and stops bleeding by astringing.
    • With Mu Dan Pi, resolves Qi Level Stagnation leading to Heat and Heat in the Blood, for irregular menstruation, headache, red eyes, and thirst due to Liver Qi Heat from Stagnation and dysmenorrhea, headache, dry, scratchy eyes and intercostal pain due to Liver Blood Deficiency.
    • With Bai Mao Gen, for Epistaxis, hematemesis, or hematuria.
    • With Da Huang, for constipation.
    • With Da Ji, Xiao Jia and Ce Bai Ye, for hematemesis and epistaxis.
  • Da Huang : Rx. et Rz. Rhei : 9-10g : Drains Heat, purges accumulations, drains Fire, drains Heat from the Blood, invigorates the Blood and dispels Blood Stasis.
  • Mu Dan Pi : Cx. Moutan : 9-12g : Clears Heat, cools, harmonizes and invigorates the Blood, dispels Blood Stasis and clears Liver Fire.
    • With Bai Mao Gen, for hematuria, hematemesis, and epistaxis due to Warm Febrile Disease.
  • Petiolus Trachycarpi Zong Lu Pi 6-10g Astringes leakage of Blood and stops bleeding.

Special Precautions of Shi Hui San

  • Discontinue as soon as bleeding stops.
  • The patient must lie quietly during the treatment.
  • Contraindicated for those with bleeding due to Deficiency and/or Cold.
