Special Precautions of Suehirotake

Infections of Schizophyllum commune have been linked to adverse health effects as brain abscess, fungus ball in the lungs, sinusitis, allergic bronchopulmonary mycosis, ulcerative lesions of the hard palate, chronic lung disease, meningitis, and onychomycosis. In one case, the fungus had grown through the soft palate of a child's mouth and was actually forming mushrooms in her sinuses.

Health Benefits and uses of Suehirotake are

Suehirotake consists of schizophyllan (SPG) which is a polysaccharide-protein complex which may help to support liver and immune health. The intracellular enzymes, ScFz, may assist in the fibrin degradation process which may help support a health blood pressure and cardiovascular wellness.

  • Anti-Candida
  • anti-tumor (cervical, uterine, stomach Ca)
  • anti-viral
  • hed krang (Schizophyllum commune) is also used in the making of fruit tea with combination of other local fruits : salak fruit, pineapple and longan. The composition of high antioxidants has driven this product development which is then optimised. The optimum formula of desired fruit tea contains the ratio of pineapple, salak, and longan of 20:20:60, respectively, added with 20% (w/w) of hed krang. Upon analysis of the chemical, physical, and microbiological properties as well as the sensory evaluation, the product seems to have great potential of acceptance by consumers and could be a power packed healthy drink.
